This September, Easterly Artists are proud to support and take part in Lowestoft’s On the Edge – a festival celebrating our changing town, its communities, and the many perspectives that shape life on the edge of the sea.
“Release the Wishes”
Geoff Litchfield will be starting off an exciting array of events with his “Release the Wishes” experience, next week at Ness Point (Wednesday 2nd September at 11 am).

During last year’s Easterly Artists exhibition at The Battery of Ideas, visitors were invited to whisper positive wishes into envelopes and seal them to form a beautiful, collective “Wish Wall”. Those wishes have been carefully kept — and added to — over the past year.

Now, as part of On the Edge, on 2nd September at 11.00am, Easterly Artist Geoff Litchfield will release the wishes at Ness Point, marking through a conceptual performance a celebratory moment one week before the main festival begins.

This gentle, uplifting act will also be filmed as part of the artwork’s documentation, ensuring its reach continues long after the event itself. Also, Geoff warmly invites everyone who contributed to the original Wish Wall — and anyone who would like to be part of this unique moment — to join him at Ness Point for the release. He would also like to encourage others to film and share the event, spreading creativity and the sense of local community.

Further details will also be available on the Easterly Artists Instagram account.
