Laurence Edwards to Open Easterly Artists’ Latest Pop-Up Exhibition “Missing Banksy” in Lowestoft
Missing Banksy
Friday 8 – Sun 17 September
Open daily, 10am – 5pm
165 London Road North, Lowestoft NR32 1HG
We’re back for the fourth year with the latest in their series of acclaimed pop-up exhibitions, taking over a disused property at the top of Lowestoft High Street and transforming it into a vibrant contemporary art gallery.
Titled Missing Banksy, this year’s show is a tribute to the famous graffiti artist’s 2021 Spraycation tour of Lowestoft and the surrounding area, and also a reference to the fact that much of the work he left for the public to enjoy has since disappeared into private collections around the world.
Preview: 7pm, Friday 8 September
This year we’re delighted to welcome sculptor and 3D artist Laurence Edwards, who has agreed to open the exhibition during the Preview, 7pm on Friday 8 September. Laurence is well known locally for his 12ft high Yoxman figure outside Yoxford and, nearer home, his bronze chthonic head on Lowestoft Beach as part of this year’s First Light Festival.
