Miriam has exhibited widely in a number of joint and solo shows, including the Royal Academy, The Mall Galleries as a member of the Royal Society of Women Artists and The Heffer Galleries as a member of The Cambridge Drawing Society.
She has previously been accepted by three major art colleges but comments: “I would have had to forget everything I’ve taken the trouble to achieve, and lose my individual style!”
Miriam works in a range of mediums. Her current subjects are usually depicted in pen and ink although, for a long period, oils and acrylics were her main mediums. She has completed two printing courses studying drypoint and etching and plans to complete more work in that direction in the near future.
She is presently busy producing work centred on scenes of Lowestoft and will shortly be commencing a new project, depicting proverbs and old English sayings of the people in the town.
