Rowland Suddaby & Works on Paper Once feted as the successor to Christopher Wood by The Redfern Gallery, Rowland Suddaby has been overlooked in recent times. This display of vibrant East Anglian watercolours from the 1940s-60s celebrates his unique style and contribution to Modern British landscape painting from his home in Suffolk. Alongside Suddaby’s watercolours are also presented a mixed display of works on paper, including work by Alfred Parsons , Lucy Harwood, Mary Newcomb and Colin Wilkin.Find out more »
For 16 days each year, Norfolk & Norwich Open Studios celebrates the county’s artists and their achievements by offering them the opportunity to open their doors to the public to exhibit, sell and talk about their work. Humour and pathos jostle for attention in this autobiographical series of paintings and drawings which has been four years in the making. Reconstructed from photographs and personal memories, the paintings that make up Halfboy are imbued with Stuart’s portraitist’s eye for detail, bringing to life the minutiae of time and place.
