“Missing Banksy” Pop-Up Exhibition

The Easterly Artists are back for the fourth year with the latest in their series of acclaimed pop-up exhibitions, taking over a disused property at the top of Lowestoft High Street and transforming it into a vibrant contemporary art gallery.

Titled Missing Banksy, this year’s show is a tribute to the famous graffiti artist’s 2021 Spraycation tour of Lowestoft and the surrounding area, and also a reference to the fact that much of the work he left for the public to enjoy has since disappeared into private collections around the world.

Simon Wilde Rolling Summer Exhibition

Simon Wilde has a rolling show of new works over the summer in AWD Goldsmith in Halesworth.

This is “Untitled”, acrylic on (unusually, for him) paper.

Flock – Ben Quail at The Grit

Ben Quail has a new joint show “Flock” running at The Grit Arts Centre.

Ben works with linocuts, screenprints, etchings and drypoint; he also paints landscapes. Working from a visual diary, he creates combined processes, thoughtful narratives and colourful prints which combine colour, draughtsmanship and humour to produce a contemporary viewpoint on the ever-changing world in which we live.

“Flock” runs till 22 July. The Grit is at Old Court Buildings, Old Nelson St, Lowestoft NR32 1EQ; opening times are: Wed – Sat: 10am – 4pm.

Ros Bieber at the Holton Lodge Barn Gallery

Ros Bieber is taking part in a group exhibition at the launch of the new Holton Lodge Barn Gallery in Holton near Halesworth.

Hilary Barry – Suffolk Open Studios

Hilary is opening her studio this weekend on Saturday 10 – Sunday 11 June from 10am – 4pm, as part of 2023 Suffolk Open Studios. Sadly, Hilary can only do the one weekend this year so it’s going to be a busy couple of days!

Eileen Coxon – New Show at Snape Maltings

Easterly Artists member Eileen Coxon’s new show “Suffolk Farmscapes” opens on 10th June at Snape Maltings, Suffolk IP17 1SP.

Entry is free and the exhibition runs until Wednesday 5th July. Opening times are 10am – 5.30pm (4.30pm Sundays).

All welcome at the Private View, Saturday 10 June 1.30 – 3pm.
